Proxima - Procurement Outsourcing

LONDON, 18 December 2012: Proxima, a leading international procurement services provider, announced today that it has appointed Gail Roberts as Shared Services Director.

Based in Cwmbran, South Wales, Gail will lead the company’s global shared services facility. This unique operation continues to grow rapidly, providing Proxima’s global client base with enhanced procurement performance. Gail will focus on accelerating the procurement hub’s growth and further developing Proxima’s successful offerings, including procurement CRM, analytics, and market research.

A supply chain professional for more than 20 years, Gail specialises in supplier relationship management and has held senior positions with global ‘blue chip’ organisations in many different industry sectors, including food, retail, construction, automotive and life sciences.

Gail joins Proxima from The Royal Mint, where she was Director of Supply Chain. Until recently, she represented South Wales on the Council of the Chartered Institute of Purchase & Supply (CIPS) and  the newly formed CIPS Congress, the Institute’s representative and advisory body elected from and by its global membership.

In 2010, Gail received an award for leadership as part of a benchmark carried out by the prestigious Pacific Institute and was highly commended the following year by the European Supply Chain Excellence board for the most improved supply chain business integration model.

Making the announcement, Gareth Evans, Chief Operating Officer of Proxima, said: “Gail’s appointment is a reflection of our growth to date and our ambition to continue to evolve and differentiate procurement service delivery in the future. A highly experienced procurement and operational leader, Gail is well known in our industry and her achievements have been recognised by leading professional bodies. I am delighted to welcome her to our leadership team.”
